Enrich your students education when you invite Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra musicians into your school and classrooms. Not only will students hear professional musicians in an up-close, informal setting, but they will be able to interact with the musicians and learn what it means to make music. Students will learn about the dedication, hard work and commitment of being a professional musician and will have fun listening to a program designed just for them.
The A²SO brass, string, woodwind, and percussion ensembles will play two 30-40 minute concerts. During these concerts, the musicians will talk about music, music history and musical concepts, how sound is generated, their instruments, and how they began playing. Each concert includes a question and answer session.
Ensembles:
String Quartet: Two violins, viola, cello
Brass Quintet: Two trumpets, French horn, trombone, tuba
Woodwind Quintet: Flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn
Percussion Ensemble: Drums, xylophones, marimbas, African drums and so much more!
Cost: $115 for first 65 schools to be scheduled. Recommended for all ages.
